Community Charter Process
Two CARRI Partner Communities, Charleston Low Country Area and Gulfport/Gulf Coast Area, have formally recognized and adopted resilience as a permanent part of the community planning process. Both communities are working to establish charters, officially institutionalizing a resilience organization within their communities. For more information about drafting a charter, please contact info@resilientUS.org
Recovery Communications Network
The Tri-County Recovery Communications Network (RCN) is an initiative of the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments (BCDCOG) in collaboration with CARRI. RCN focuses primarily on the engagement and strengthening of community-wide communication channels to support rapid recovery from a disaster event.
Due to RCN's successful use of online collaboration tools, a model Recovery Communications site, (which may be adjusted to meet specific community needs) has been designed as an example to assist other communities seeking to follow a similar process. If you would like a copy of this site to use as a basis for your own community's work, please contact info@resilientUS.org
